I use text as well as visual language to explore the relationship between institutional power structures and the individual. It is my intention to parse meaning from what I see as the co-dependent nature of this relationship. One of the ways in which I examine these systems is by deconstructing and redacting the texts that mediate our interaction with them. In my process I allow the project to dictate the medium in which I work. It is my intention to engage the viewer in a discourse regarding power and individuality.
